NEHAWU KZN Submitted a Memorandum of Demands to the Department of Health at Wentworth

The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union [NEHAWU] in KwaZulu-Natal submitted a memorandum to the Department of Health.
This follows numerous complaints received from our members regarding the conduct of the current CEO, which has created a toxic and demoralizing working environment at the facility as well as other issues such as non-compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
It is deeply concerning that almost the entire Management Committee at Wentworth Hospital has laid grievances against the CEO, a clear reflection of the widespread discontent, fear, and breakdown of trust under her leadership. Instead of fostering teamwork and professionalism, the CEO has chosen intimidation, victimisation, and unilateral decision-making, which have alienated senior managers and paralysed institutional functionality. This toxic atmosphere has demotivated staff, eroded morale, and negatively affected service delivery to the community.

As NEHAWU, we remain steadfast in defending our members against rogue managers who have no respect for workers.
